Privacy Policy

Summary

Trumpet Keys does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. The app works entirely offline and does not require an account.

Microphone Access

Trumpet Keys requests access to your Mac's microphone solely to:

• Detect the pitch of the note you play, in order to compare it with the note selected in the app (Identifier tab).
• Power the real-time tuner display (Tuner tab).

Audio captured through the microphone is processed entirely on your device, in real time, and is never recorded, saved, stored, or transmitted anywhere — not to the developer, not to any third party, and not to any external server. No audio data leaves your Mac at any point.

Data Collection

Trumpet Keys does not collect:

• Personal information (name, email, location, etc.)
• Usage analytics or tracking data
• Audio recordings
• Any data that could identify you

The app does not use analytics services, advertising networks, or any third-party tracking tools.

Custom Soundfonts

If you choose to import a custom SF2 soundfont file, that file is copied locally to your Mac's Application Support folder for the app's use. It is never uploaded, shared, or transmitted anywhere.

Internet Connection

Trumpet Keys does not require, and does not use, an internet connection for any of its features. All functionality — note identification, tuning, and sound playback — works fully offline.

Children's Privacy

Trumpet Keys does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information at all.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes in the future, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
